The Peninsula of Varadero is famous for ist 20 kilomters large white beach and the huge amount of beach resorts and hotels, mostly situated directly on the Varadero beach. Varadero is situated near the city of Matanzas, about 150 kilomters east of the cuban capital La Habana.
The newer Varadero Airport is not directly in Varadero, where the older runway was to near to the Hotels and Beach resorts.
